Competition & Prize Rules
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These rules apply to leaderboards, weekly leagues, hackathons, programme leaderboards and any prize competition on AICLUBAFRICA. The specific prizes, dates and eligibility for a particular competition are shown on that competition's page or announced by the school; where those details differ from these rules, the competition page applies.
1. Competitions of skill
Rankings are based on learning effort and skill — XP earned by completing lessons, quizzes, assignments and challenges, or, for hackathons, the quality of a project as judged by AI pre-scoring, judges and votes. There is no element of chance.
2. How XP is earned
XP comes from learning activity on both free and paid courses. Earning a paid certificate also awards bonus XP. Free courses alone are enough to take part and to rank.
3. School prize pools
Some schools have a prize pool funded by a percentage of certificate revenue from across the Platform. Prizes go to the top 3 learners in each participating school at the end of the competition period. Prizes are rewards for performance — not refunds — and paying for certificates does not guarantee a prize.
4. Eligibility
Entrants must be registered learners in good standing, enrolled at the participating school or programme, and (if under 18) have parent or guardian permission. Staff of WITIWORLD SOLUTIONS and their immediate families cannot win prizes.
5. Fair play
Cheating, multiple accounts, automated activity or copied work leads to disqualification and may lead to XP being reset or prizes being withdrawn, including after they are awarded. Our decision on fair-play matters is final after review, but you can ask for a review once.
6. Winners and prizes
Winners are confirmed after a fair-play check and contacted through their school or account. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash unless stated. If a prize cannot be delivered we may replace it with one of equal or greater value. Any taxes due on a prize are the winner's responsibility, unless the law says otherwise.
7. Publicity
We may show a winner's name, school and winning project on the Platform. We will not use a child's photo in publicity without separate parent or guardian consent.
8. Changes and cancellation
We may change or cancel a competition if necessary for reasons outside our control or to keep it fair. We will tell participants and treat them fairly, including awarding prizes already earned.
